Updated 11:13 a.m. Friday, April 24, 2026.
Exit closures for construction work on two major highways in Centre County will impact some fans headed to Penn State football’s Blue-White Practice kicking off at 12:15 p.m. on Saturday in Beaver Stadium.
Drivers traveling westbound on Interstate 80 cannot use exit 161 at Bellefonte to access Interstate 99 southbound toward State College. They are instead directed to continue westbound to exit 158 at Milesburg, then get on I-80 eastbound and take the Bellefonte exit to access I-99.
The exit closure for work on the high-speed interchange project connecting I-80 and I-99 began in February and is expected to be in place through July, according to PennDOT.
For motorists traveling on U.S. Route 322 westbound, the off-ramp for the Innovation Park/Penn State University exit is closed until early June as part of a highway reconstruction project.
Drivers should continue on Route 322 westbound and merge onto I-99 southbound. They will then take exit 71/Woodycrest-Toftrees, follow Waddle Road to the on-ramp for I-99 northbound, merge onto I-99 northbound and follow it back to Route 322 eastbound and the Innovation Park/Penn State exit on the eastbound side.
